Looking for a Cincinnati event photographer? This New Year’s Eve marked our 9th year snapping pics for Belterra Casino! We absolutely LOVE capturing photos and video for them.
This year’s festivities had a New Orleans theme. Mardi Gras, jazz and great food were the main focus. Lots of bright colors to shoot. NOLA’s St. Louis Cemetery was recreated in the registration room. Actors stood in the cemetery painted like statues. Traditional Mardi Gras colors were used to decorate the main dining room. Belterra’s 19 Steak House took on a French Quarter vibe.
Our day began with various room and decor setup shots. I’m a huge fan of snapping room shots before guests arrive. This accomplishes a few things. Photos are taken before people come in and get too “comfortable”. It never fails. Someone will knock over a glass of red wine on the white table cloth in the center of the room!
Ever been to an indoor Mardi Gras Parade? Guests were led from the casino floor through the hallways by a New Orleans style jazz band. Parade floats built atop golf carts snaked through the crowd. Casino guests lined the common areas waiting to catch beads and coins. It was like a mini Mardi Gras! Guests were treated to live entertainment once the parade reached the showroom. At the stroke of midnight, a HUGE balloon drop with confetti cannons showered party goers. As always, we look forward to seeing what’s planned for their next New Year’s Eve!
